Web CLE | Law School Tech Training on a Shoestring

January 23 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Free

The Model Rules of Professional Conduct, and most state ethics rules, require that, to be competent, attorneys must understand the risks and benefits of technology. Despite this requirement, many law students either do not take or do not have available to them legal technology-focused courses to acquaint and prepare them for the types of technology necessary to practice law in the 21st Century.

This program will focus on:

  • The obligations of law schools to properly prepare law students for practice
  • How such programs are designed and funded
  • How to ensure hands-on learning, so law students come out proficient in required tech
