Erin Levine to Receive James I. Keane Memorial Award for Excellence in eLawyering

Erin Levine, Founder & CEO of Hello Divorce and Levine Family Law (and a 2019 Women of Legal Tech honoree), has been selected to receive the James I. Keane Memorial Award for Excellence in eLawyering. The award will be presented at the Start-Up Pitch Competition during ABA TECHSHOW on February 26th in Chicago.

Divorce can be complicated on its own, even before the impending legal process begins. Erin understood this and saw a need. She set out to create a streamlined and affordable way to alleviate the stress and stigma associated with divorce.

In May 2019, Hello Divorce launched the Divorce Navigator, the first complete DIY divorce app. For $99 a month, clients can track and complete their California divorce online with step-by-step instructions. This service provides a manageable alternative to hiring a divorce lawyer for those who have limited options. Law offices can also use this tool to save their lawyers time, as well as paralegal costs. By cutting down on unnecessary paperwork, it allows for efficiency and constant legal technology innovation.

Hello Divorce also provides clients with four membership options according to their level of need. They offer a starter membership for free that anyone, regardless of finances, can opt into. This includes free access to a library of articles that support divorcees in pre-planning, the process, children and pets, their spouse, and more. They even offer a complete list of California divorce forms for no charge. The starter membership also includes a free 15-minute strategy session to address client needs.

Erin exemplifies the spirit of the James I. Keane Memorial Award for Excellence in eLawyering by demystifying the legal options for divorce while making them affordable and accessible using the latest technology.
